Lanaloft Sport is a single-ply yarn, which means that it felts very easily (except for color 1 Cottage White), but it is strong enough for the warp on a woven blanket. Lanaloft Sport comes in natural heathers and dyed colors, but also has a variegated cousin, Lanaloft Sport Handpaint. They are easy to combine for multi-color projects! Lanaloft Sport has been permanently mothproofed.

Brown Sheep Yarn Company, located in Mitchell, Nebraska, started over 100 years ago as a sheep farm. In the 1980's, they began to produce their own yarn and continue to do so using environmentally-friendly state-of-the-art equipment. Lanaloft Sport is not only spun and dyed in Nebraska, but it is made of 100% US-raised wool, primarily from Colorado.
