Lamb's Pride Bulky is a great choice for a first project because it knits quickly, comes in a variety of colors, and isn't too pricey. It makes a great sweater but also a fun felted bag or woven blanket. The color line is huge, with naturals, solids, heathers, and tonal colors. The blend of wool and mohair is very warm and gives felted pieces a slight halo from the mohair, which does not felt as readily as the wool component. This yarn is a single-ply, which means that it felts very easily, but it is strong enough for the warp on a woven blanket. It has been permanently mothproofed.
