Alpaca Silk

• 4-ply cable spun (2 strands of 2-ply twisted together)
• hand wash; dry flat

Alpaca Silk combines two yarns that, on their own, are quite luxurious, but when combined, are a knockout. This yarn is primarily alpaca, a naturally warm, soft fiber. Alpaca fiber has a long staple and fewer scales than wool, so some people who are sensitive to wool can wear alpaca without trouble. Silk is light and lustrous, adding sheen and strength to the blend. This wonderful yarn is a fabulous choice for a special woven scarf or for fabric for clothing. It would also make a great choice for a knitted lace scarf or shawl.
